I stumbled upon this tutorial on my quest to master the BA II plus. It has numerable tips and tricks that i thought were VERY helpful. If you haven't watched them yet, it wouldn't hurt to check out the tutorial. It helps in reducing the number of formulae one needs to memorize.

Very important link indeed for those who doesn't know how to use the calculator - it is more important though to get decent amount of practice than only learning how to use the functions up there
 
I started studying about a week ago, and the most frustrating part of Quant was trying to learn the calculator as I go. Anyone that has tried to calculate I/Y with a both a positive PV and FV knows what I'm talking about. I just watched the first 3 sequences and I think this is great.

I really wish I found this site first, I would have saved a lot of time learning the basics!
Can AF put a stick on this to keep it at the top? This is something new students to the CFA will really find helpful.

Just one basic thing about the TI BA plus. Just start to use mine. In my old Casio calculator, I was used to a shortcut for long number, like to 50,000,000. Instead of typing everything, I did 50 exp 6. Then 50,000,000 * 23,000 is quickly 50exp6 * 23exp3. What is the equivalent of this shortcut for the TI ? I checked and just saw the yx which is not the same thing. Thanks
