Did all those who want to take Dec 2010 Level1 already register?
Does the Aug 24th fee of $1110 include any study material? Is the 50 extra for the Curriculum Ebook worth ?

I havent registered yet as I wanted to complete Quantitative methods review and solve some problems. If I am able to solve the questions with no problem I want to register b4 Aug 24.

Thanks Buzz

I just registered this past week for December 2010. I believe many have already began studying by now, so feeling a bit behind the masses. The fee includes the CFAI material, but many purchase 3rd party study guides (e.g. Schweser, Elan, Stalla) as well.

amorris7 , thanks for the reply.

I just started to study, I have some old notes , utube and online tutorials to go over the concepts. I think i go with Schweser, lot of ppl are suggesting it on this forum.. how abt u?

Is there are study group in this forum. I know every1 has a different pace of learning. but would be nice to share knowledge and support in difficult topics.

Good luck to U

I am using the Schweser guides (books 1 through 5). I started with book 2 (economics) as most people on here suggest leaving the ethics section for last.

What topic did you start with?

I started with Quant. I did well in Quant in my MBA, and Economics too. So I after Quant, I will hit eco. Next would be FRA- which I didnt do so well. I want to be able to spend more time on FRA.

I graduated in MBA Finance in 04.. so its been a while since I looked at any Finance books. But I think I will be able to recall as I go thru the notes and solve sample questions..

So you r following any Video series just the books? Also wht calculator r u using? I have a HP12C but I ordered TI BAII + Pro.. I saw some Utube video, this one looks much better than the HP.

I am just using the Schweser books (1-5) and the Schweser secret sauce book. I don't have any videos.

I have the TI BAII + calculator. From what I've read on the site, both the HP12C and TI BAII are recommended so either should work fine. I think the TI BAII might be easier to use though.
