My workouts have been so poor lately. I’ve been going @ lunch and getting in about 45 minutes each day at most. Sitting down for 18 hours a day doesn’t make the body feel too good
Haven’t been to the gym in 10 months (L1 + L2 + busy season). I lost 15lbs of muscles over this crap.

After I failed level 2 last year I thought I might not do it again but then I felt like I had already spent so much time learning most of the material that’d id be crazy not to try again. I’m feeling good this time around and scoring 10% higher in mocks than I did last year so hopefully that’s a good sign
Just curious, what were you scoring last year? And what are you scoring now? Which mocks you using?

I feel like I’m on the border. BobbyBraveheart, congrats on scoring 10% higher this year- out of curiosity, what are you scoring on the mocks this year?
Best of luck everyone.

Last year I only got in two mocks before the exam and I think my highest was 63% or something. I started studying in February and it was too much material to cover at that point. I ended up band 9. This year 3 mocks finished and averaging 70% (schweser). I’m going to do the 6 Schweser mocks then do CFAI 2014 and 2015 mock then do the CFAI questiins online. If there’s time left I’ll do as many EOC’s as I can again.
My thought process this time around is be strong in equity, FRA, fixed and ethics. That is 60% right there. Then I’m focusing on derv’s and corp fi as that’s consistently been 10% for last 6 years apparently. But you can’t overlook anything, two melt downs of 1 or 2 out of 6 and it’s hard to make that up.

Wow, hope you guys all pass.
I am counting on miracle(s). Just finished Schweser materials. No mocks yet. My eyes are red, dry and burning while my back is screaming for sitting too much on my butt. Couldn’t secure a week off. Actually no day off. I will be flying to another city right after work on Friday.

Here’s my story. Taking 2 CFA tests (12/14 and 06/15) before it hits my 1 year wedding anniversary hasn’t been all that fun. My boss was jocking another day, saying the whole point of getting married is to spend more time with your loved one. Well, hopefully my marrige will be in tact and I see you guys on L3 forum next year.
I did about 3000 problems on Schweser Qbank for all areas except for derivatives, finished FRA, equity and ethics EOCs; got 60, 70, 80 on those respectively. I find CFAI online questions harder than EOCs, getting somewhere around 65% acorss the board for the three subjects. Considering I did better on the rest of the materials on Qbank, I hope to get through EOCs and online tests this weekend and next week and do 2-3 mocks before the exam.
Would like to see higher socres, but it’s too early to freak out just yet. If there’s one thing my marrige taught me, it’s not over until it’s actually over…LOL

I cannot say miracles don’t happen but they normally are in favour of the one’s who push the hardest. Hats off to you if you’re living in Palestine and pushing this hard - there is light at the end of the tunnel mate. Keep going.

feeling good over here. excited to work hard and finish this up. scoring in low 70s for schweser and mid 60s for cfai. been through 8 practice tests and i feel like that’s plenty of coverege. going through all the practice problems online now and taking notes. scores are decent. focus is on learning and maintaining for next 2 weeks, and most importantly, executing on exam day. win or lose i’m definitely looking forward to moving on with my life
one struggle with cfa is its hard to quit. even if i fail i will think of all i’ve sacrificed to come this far. you are constantly doubling down because you’ve come too far and you don’t want it to be a waste. interesting dynamic and makes you really wonder if all the things you’ve missed are worth it

If I don’t pass, I don’t know if I’ll sit for the Level II again. Actually, if I pass, I don’t know if I’ll sit for the Level III. I’m having a hard time seeing how the majority of this content is even relevant to my work. If you’re not in the industry, most people don’t even know what the CFA is.
Spot on, my friend. Spot on.

honestly, I’m probably in the bottom 5% of prep here bc I haven’t touched any mocks, ethics and am finishing derivatives/PM for first time this weekend. that being said ive been studying since Feb quite a lot, took notes on the heavy sections for a 2nd revision. no questions though yet lol.
but to be honest, in a sick sick way im looking forward to this 14 day GRIND of hell. no work so 12 hour days will hopefully get me in position for pass. that’s still like 140+ hrs of review to go so a LOT can happen. I absolutely must pass this exam and I know I’ll do enough in these 14 days to do so. LEGGOOOO bring this shh on NOW. MOARRR. we can relax on the night of the 6th, until then aint none of you out-working this guy baleeeedat. :)

I find the biggest benefit of mocks to be finding out what you don’t know more so than what you know. Then you can go back and figure it out afterwards. The practice is good and if you’re scoring high you feel reassured but there’s going to be an item set or two on the exam that even after 10 mocks you probably won’t have seen before. So far I like the schweser mocks but soon I am going to get into the CFAI onlinr assessments. I remember last year people saying some of the tricks found within the online questions showed up in the exam. I of course never did them and here I am writing for a second time. Do not overlook the CFAI material
