2014 CFA Mock exam

Hello
I just finished the 2014 Mock exam and scored only 60% in 3hours and half!
I really dont know what to do….when i study a specific subject i have high scores on end of curriculum questions but as soon as I go to another subject…I forget the first one!
in 10days…what should i do to solve this problem?
60% is definitly not the score who ll garantee that i ll get more than 70% in the 7th!!
 
I have one queston, how do you use three and half hours when the timer starts from 2:59:59 down?
 
Oh. Well. Anyways, from what I heard, 60% isn’t totally bad, the mock is supposedly tougher than the real exam. I scored 67% on the 2nd mock(I started top-down) and almost beat myself up, then I got consolation. The most important thing is, there’s nothing new to you anymore, so just read the questions carefully, as fast as you can(if you’ve been on Scheweser Qbank, the ‘fast’ part shouldn’t be a thing), and go over the ones you missed. Even S2000magician wouldn’t score 120/120 probably :)
 
I did it using pdf. they sent us a link for that.
 
The best way to higher your performance is to take as many mock exams as possible. Here you can find inexpensive and reliable online mock with time-keeping: http://soleadea.com/cfa-level-1-mock-exam-1
They provide statistics and peer comparison so you can compare yourself to other candidates.
 
i have started studing about a month ago and faced, the same problem. What help is that i make a 1 page note - moslty formulas - for each reading, so with a quick glance at my page i can recall a few thinks….

I’m right there with ya!! This CFAI test felt really hard when comparred to Schweser. I got 65% average for full March mock. Have been averaging in the low 70s for the first 3 schwesers mocks.
The CFAI mock just felt really difficult….
 
After correction I think that the morning session was easy but the second is a little bit treacky!!
 
I too found CFA mocks difficult compared to the schweser qbank and practice tests.
 
In my opinion I thought this years mocks is fools gold. Most of the questions are similar to the assesement questions they provided or similar to previous mocks. I scored an 86% am and 87% pm.
But I guess if you guys used schweser it’s a totally different story.

Agreed..I don’t like how they just recycled some questions. The second mock was a better test.

The assessment questions on the CFAI website seems to come from older Mock Exams. I suggest you can always do those if you don’t have access to the older exams. It’s worth doing IMO.
 
I saw a bunch of repeat questions on the 2 mocks either from the assessments or previous year’s mocks

exactly, the mock was my first exposure to CFAI questions other than EOCs. I am sure if I had seen alot fo the questions before it would have come alot easier to me as well….
