Hey guys I have the 2015 Kaplan Schweser notes and I was wondering if I should get the 2016 notes when it comes out in case the 2015 version is out dated or do you guys think the 2015 version is fine and I can start studying with it?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I have been studying for L2 2016 with the 2015 Kaplan books and I think they are fine (granted I have never taken L2). From what I have heard using 1-2 year old books is not a big deal as the circullum only changes slightly every year (and the changes are actually highlighted on the CFA website). I would assume that any small changes in curriculum you could pick up while doing practice problems before the exam.

There was a spreadsheet around here that showed the changes to the cirriculum, I’m sure you could also find something on the CFA website too. But the major change deals with the PM study session, replacing 3 readings with 3 new readings. Additionally, there was a new chapter added to the Quantative Methods Topic. Other than that, there were a couple slight L.O.S. updates in FRA & FI and a chapter of the 2015 FI was removed. If you feel comfortable with the older material, seems like you’d be ok - just have to realize that 2015 will have irrelevant chapters in PM and you’re missing one in Quants.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone. I just had a look at the link which compared 2015 vs 2016 readings and I guess I will just do the readings in the actual curriculum when I get to the PM section. Cheers guys!
