I found it somewhat frustrating to see the number of questions that were of the "Bill tells Jane that GIPS stands for "Gee I Pee Straight" and Bill tells John that Chebyshev plays defense for the Detroit Red Wings hockey club"....which one is true / false, etc

Nice way to turn a 240 question exam into 275 questions. Next year maybe they will do three or even four part questions, because we all know it's just getting too easy to get the charter these days

a common complaint ping, you're right that it's not gonna get any better with time...
oh, and it's closer to 400 questions right now :)

I guess they want to include as many LOSes as possible in the exam.

yeah, well i think they want to INCUR as many LOSSES as possible in the exam

sn8eye,
If CFAI wanted to test as many LOSes as possible, they should not be repeating the same questions in the morning and afternoon:

1. Arithmetic Mean > Geom Mean and MAD <Std Dev
2. Negatively skewed :Mean <Med<Mode
3. Cash Flows as expected, what is rate of return if IRR is given for each of the projects.

there's a few more that were repeated with different numbers. Seemed like they wanted to shout: Ha! I got you - it's the same question but you answered differently in the afternoon....
There was no calculation of NPV or IRR.

One of the things that I was surprised about was the reoccurence of the growth rate / ret ratio / Dupont analysis, etc. If you were unclear on this relatively simple concept, then you likely had a long long day

What happened to Hypothesis testing is what I want to know

"What happened to Hypothesis testing is what I want to know"

I am not complaining!

i assume you folks still talking about specific exam q's are the same type who pick at scabs, preventing them from healing

Now that I have quiet time time to think about the exam, cfagirl1 might be right.
A few LOSes did appear more than once and many LOSes didn't appear at all.

get use to questions like that, you'll see more (much more0 in levels II and III.

and fyi, they do have 4-part questions in this year's level III

sample:

Abel said A and B
Belle said C and D

choices: the usual 4 permutations of Abel/Belle is right/wrong.
