Hows it going with regards to progress?
I’ve got through a fair amount of the material (~50%) but not done too many practice or essay questions.
The hope is to finish material in the next 2 months and then 1 month for EOCs and questions and 1 month for mocks.
Feeling - good/optimistic.

After almost 2 months break while I was preparing another examination, today I have continued with L3 studying. Initial plan was starting with AM sessions testing and portal tests now but I changed a plan and have decided to repeat all readings once again. I have started today wit Schwesser notes, finished Ethics in 6 hours and today am continuing with BF. I am doing all CFAI curriculum EOCs by finishing each Scwesser chapter. The plan is to finish this 4th round of readings and doing EOCs latest till February 20th and then start with AM sessions and portal tests. After that till May I will continue with layer of sample readings and layer of sample testing. In May I plan do all available portal tests and AM sessions and Mock tests as well. I hope I will finally blown away by 30 -50% success on open type questions. I am testing my self in such type of questions based on key words used in my answers related to guidance answers. I read also once entire official curriculum but found Schwesser notes better for me. However, if it would be enough time, in last phase I plan to repeat some chapters from CFAI curriculum and Ethics of course.

I am able to study each and every day. This is my key advantage. I know it would be impossible under other circumstances.

I am on my second read of the Kaplan note now. Half way through but I have not read ethcis at all. Never did well on ethics but I managed to pass the previous two levels with decent score in most other sections. Hope this time will be the same :) But I am going to read ethics when I finish my second round.
As I am reading the Kaplan chapters, I am going through all the CFA blue box and EOCs for each section. I found the option CFA blue box questions very helpful because at first I had no idea how to remember those 10 different option strategies. But after I did all those questions, I think I knew all 10 now.
So hopefully I can finish the second round by the end of February. Then starting in March, I will do all the CFA topics questions plus 1 or 2 AM papers. Then, starting in April, I will start to work on all the Kaplan mocks and previous 3 years papers. After that, I will repeat all the AM papers at least one more time before the big day.

I am doing Schweser BB only. Maybe I would practice a sample of official BB in last phase but depending on time constraint. Not currently in my focus.

I am about 60% of the way through the Kaplan material. Been doing the study sessions on the weekends, then questions during the weekdays after work. Also trying to review my notes and flashcards as frequently as possible to keep the material from the start fresh. Targeting to be done with the material near the start of April, then work on all the mock exams from Kaplan and CFAI.

@dududu
Sounds OK strategy. You should practice Ethics vignettes as much as you could. The most challenging parts for me are Asset allocation, Fixed Income and GIPS. Also IPS concept is hard to learn since there are required open type questions.

I recommend you try to be done at least one month before the test. (preferably 2) This will give you time to do practice putting everything together and do mock exams with an emphasis on essay questions in a timely manner.

Wow… Everyone here seems to be on the game. I just finished watcing session 1 Wiley videos. I plan on finishing all the material by mid April and hit the practice tests. This is similar to my Level 2 strategy. Isn’t Level 3 suppose to be way easier?

who said level 3 is way easier?
level 2 and 3 are both challenging tests for different reasons..

Good going everyone. I will start my preparation from 1st Feb. I plan to finish Schweser along with Curriculum Blue box and EOC by mid April, then Mock exams and portal questions along with revision till the exam. I know I am starting my preparation very late so if anybody has any advice it is appreciated.

Finished second review of curriculum, did 16 past papers, sat the exam, passed level 3 … .

For the record, I just removed several political posts from this thread.
If you want to discuss politics, do it at the Water Cooler, not here.
