Scored a 60% on AM, 50% on PM.
Admittedly, wasn’t 100% fresh on deriv and equity formulas, and somehow bombed Ethics.
Taking off about 6 days of work, plus a weekend of studying, do I have any hope in passing this beast?? Should I do more question sets by topic to nail down formulas/concepts or hit a few 3-hr half mock sets (or a full one)??? Been busting my ass but need help/advice!!

Have you got glaring weaknesses or are you just not familiar enough with the material across the board? If you’ve got clear weaknesses (like your equity or derivatives), drill those, otherwise I would recommend reviewing EOCs for each reading and making sure you see where you went wrong on incorrect answers.
Given that you have six days off from work, you should be able to make that work. Also, go through the 2013 mock at least once, maybe twice, and get comfortable with the answer to each question - correct and incorrect. Keep your head up, I’ve seen people on the L2 forum pass after failing every practice test they ever take.
That’d be my approach at this stage, maybe someone can come up with a more efficient plan?

I wouldn’t sit for the exam with those scores..
Jk, I say given the amount of time you have off coupled with the fact that this was not a legit test (instead of giving it your all you may have been lazy and not checked answer or guessed when you probably could of figured out the answer), you are on track. I would review equity and go over the major sections of dervs (fairly mechanical once you see them a few times) and wait until weds or thurs and drill ethics. Good luck,

There’s no shortcut to passing this exam from what I’ve seen.. it seems the people who do poorly on mocks but end up passing are those who studied the material extensively since late last year or early this year, easily putting over 350 hours.. but they have trouble recalling it all near the end. Refreshing the material near the end seems to do the trick.. this sounds like my situation so I hope this is the case.

My practice exams are starting to get worse. Two over 70, the last two below, one of them, wayyyyyy below.
It’s going to be nice that the NYC exam is at the Hilton. 1000’s of anxiety stricken people in the lobby, contrasted with a plethora of Times Square in the Summer Tourists who are drunk and happy and carefree…
oh, and as always… ‘the Belmont Stakes are on!’ Go Orb! um, not really

It was also the case for me, did it this morning and get punched. But now when I’m going through it again, I realized that there are only 2 or 3 questions that are really difficult, the rest is fair. Will do more practice exam to get familiar with the item set question.

I’m in the same boat, scored 59% on the 2013 Mock. I bombed PM and Derivatives. I don’t think my chances of passing the exam are great, but I’m still buckling down on my studies to maximize my chances. I have been focusing on FRA and Equity and haven’t touched some of the smaller topics. 2 weeks of hard studying can easily get you 5 or 6 extra questions right on the exam (4-5%). Coupled with an exam that favors your strengths and getting an extra 1 or 2 questions right just by lucky guessing and you are right there.

Don’t get too despondent. The mocks tend to be a bit tougher than the real deal, I think. I got crushed on every mock in level I and I did very well. I’ve heard that story over and over. But you are right to freak out and get desperate. I’d do as many questions as possible across the board, but especially the highly tested areas (FRA, Ethics, Fixed, Equity, Derivatives). Don’t worry about the rest because you don’t have time. Good luck.

the kid that sold Tumblr didn’t pass level 2 and look where he’s at lol….just relax, stressing will guarentee you to miss more from worry rather than looking at the questions the way you should be focusing on them….try your best and that’s all you can ask for

he didn’t pass level 2? I’d love to read that article, you have a link?

that guy probably works about 22 hours a day so it’s no surprise he failed L2, he’s got bigger fish to fry.

Blackomen, your earlier comment was spot on. I’ve been hitting this material since October (started early in anticipation of the birth of our second daughter in January…great timing right?!). I started with Quant then so needless to say when i went to review it in April it felt almost like new material. Starting my final review this week (3rd time through the material) I’m hoping will help commit everything to memory and nail down important concepts/formulas that I mastered 3 months ago, for example, but have since forgotten.
I seem to “know” the material, and I think the thing that was most frustrating but yet I guess a little reassuring, is that my wrong answers are either stupid mistakes (inevitable on game day I believe) and minor correctable mistakes (ie using the short term growth rate in the first/left leg of the H Model).

Anyone else surprised Pensions was nowhere to be found on the mock? Thoughts? Obviously going to be on the real deali think…
