Hi,

I'm a returning Level 1 candidate and was just about to sign up for December when i got a little confused by the CFA website (not for the first time!).

I thought i'd have to pay just $385to retake in December but the website is asking for $710 (with the opportunity to put in an offer code which i do not have).

Am i doing something wrong or is this the price that i should be paying ?

My take on it would be you only have to pay $455, since you already missed the March 15th deadline. I'm not too sure...

i'm also a returning level one candidate and when i signed up for december i only paid $455. It sounds like they're trying to charge you the $390 enrollment fee twice which you shouldn't have to do. Is the code they're asking for your previous candidate number?

It says $455 on the website:

Thanks all,

It may just be a bug in the system but by clicking the recalculate button (and not entering any offer codes), the price comes down to $455.

I havent used this board for ages but its good to know that it is still of helpful hints and advice and I will hopefully be back here more often to contribute in future.

Well, if there ever was a bug it seems it is not there anymore because $600 it is. Maybe your order triggered a hoard of programmers to swarm in and fix all those remaining bugs.

Only two things scare me, and one of them is hoards of programmers...

Small hands, smell like cabbage... Nomads you know.

The extra is the charge for the books as it's now included in your fees.

Yes but not for the december exam. The charge for the books would only be if you were trying to sign up for June 2008.

I had the same problem with this $710 fee but I played around with it for a while and it somehow changed back to $455. It was very strange. Try putting in Pass as Code 1 a few times and then refreshing the page. I tried that and a few other things and it just changed to $455. Best of luck in December.
