advice needed: leaning towards only doing 1mock

Thx Nana nice to have input from someone with experience. I think I’ll go for 3 mocks. Now time to price swaps! cheers

very true Lammy essentially what you’re saying is that we all have a unique indifference curve….get it? hahahah ok I thought that was clever no more procrasinting

I’m going through the second round of reading with Schweser while solving EOCs for both at the end of finishing a reading (CFAI & Sch EOCs). Also doing the self tests in Sch after every topic, I feel they are good question sets.
After I’m done reviewing in a week, I’ll be buying a notebook divided into the number of topics, and then start doing online practice exams on the CFA website, CFA mock, and Sch practice exams, while writing down any mistakes/formulas along the way that helps me avoid them next time. Then reviewing the notebook a couple of days before the exam.
That’s my attack plan anyway.

You don’t think you benefited from the mock Gebura?
I learnt in which topics I’m ok ( FRA, Equity, Ethics, Corp Fin) and which are my weak areas ( FI, AI, Econ) but I knew that already from Level I experience.

FYI Wiley pushed an additional Mock live last night – as part of the 11th Hour Review Course (anyone who bought the Platinum course has this baked in already).
The three L1 and two L2 Wiley Mocks in are distributed as follows:
Level I:
4 Online Courses (Platinum, Silver, Gold, Self): Mock A and B
A la cart Test Bank: Mock A and B
11th Houre Course: Mock C
Level II:
4 Online Courses (Platinum, Silver, Gold, Self): Mock A
A la cart Test Bank: Mock A
11th Houre Course: Mock B

When do you plan to release the intensive videos. It’s getting pretty late in the game now.

In my opinion the EOC’s are a good gauge of the difficulty in the actual exam, but not all readings have a good amount of EOC’s to work from. I would do a few mocks but EOC’s and BB’s can get you to the finish line I think. The mock is only as good as the source of it. I’d focus more on doing item sets from the bigger topic areas than worry about how many mocks in total are being completed. It also depends on how you review after you do a mock. If you do 6 mocks but don’t review them and are just doing them for the sake of getting a final score versus doing 3 mocks and reviewing them thoroughly what is more valuable? You need to constantly be reviewing the topics every few days

BBs are the “blue box” examples found in the CFAI curriculum….they are interspersed throughout the readings.
