Hi All,
I’ve just joined the forum and have been studying for level 1 for a couple months now. I was hoping to get advice from folks on my study strategy, specifically for the final month or so. Let me give a little background on my overall strategy and progress:
I am using exclusively Schweser to cover the material, and planning to supplement with the CFAI curriculum in certain spots (Ethics, for one). I was a finance major in undergrad, and am less than 1 year out of school. Accordingly, I have found almost all of the material to be a review - but good god is there a lot of it!
Anyhow, my plan looks like this:
Jan-April 28th: Spend 10-14 hrs/week studying to make it through all Schweser notes. I am taking detailed notes as I read, and doing EOC questions and self tests. I am supplementing with flashcards as I go to try to keep things fresh.
April 28th-Jun 5th: My retention right now is not great, but I think that’s to be expected. I am confident if I cram really hard for the last month, I can nail down all subjects (fingers crossed).
My question is: how do I best spend that last month? I am aware that practice exams are a must - I have like 6 Schweser ones and the CFAI ones. Should I just spam these and expect to review all material in the process? I have Schweser secret sauce - is that worth reading as a review? Maybe review my notes on weeknights (one book per week until exam basically) and then do full mocks on the weekends?
Sorry for the long post - I am sure others are wondering the same thing. Any and all opinions are welcome and appreciated - best of luck to all of you in your preparation!

i plan on finishing all the study material end of april as well. I plan on doing 3 open (reference formulas and things i should reinforce) book schewsar mocks and 3 closed book.
work alot of qbank questions and read the secret sauce on areas im weak on
ive heard working 1000 questions solidifies alot of the material read and im hoping this works for me as well

If you have the time, you should take a practice exam when you are done with your initial review. See the areas you aren’t doing well in and focus your review on those topic areas first. Plan on taking 3-4 timed practice tests (if you can do more even better). One of the biggest issues test day will be mental fatigue. So you want to give your brain some endurance training. Also study the questions you get wrong and more importantly understand why you got the questions wrong. You should spend more time reviewing questions than actually doing questions.

Thanks for the tips guys.
I also just registered for a “Live mock” that Schweser is offering on May 16th. It’s advertised as being as close to actual length, difficulty, format, etc. as possible. I think being able to rehearse the whole experience of getting up, getting a good breakfast, going to an unfamiliar location, and doing the full 3hr /break 3hr test will be really really helpful.
Now, my plan tentatively looks like this:
-Finish first pass through material April 26th.
-spend following week (Monday - Saturday May 1st) doing a start to finish review of all material, take a full timed mock Sunday May 2nd to get a starting benchmark score
-Then, have 2 weeks of thorough review/problem solving to revise weak areas until Schweser Mock on May 16th (saturday), then, on Sunday, spend some time going over these results and guaging progress
-final 3 weeks (18th to exam day) - complete 2-3 more mocks with review mixed in
