Hi all,
I would need advise/ strategy on this.
My question is this:
After reading a particular chapter and you start to do the end of chapter question. However you are unable to answer let say most of the question without flipping back. Would you redo the whole reading again immediately or wait till your 2nd reading.
For level 2 exam, i guess i might be able to answer around 60% -70% of the end of chapter question without flipping back. Subjected to availability bias :)
But for level 3, i find it really tough especially on the part where you have to write out in word.
Thanks

Personally, I would spend a bit of time going back over the reading before moving on.
For level 2 I only had 3 months so really rushed the 1st read through and was quite frequently flunking the EOCs. When the time came to hit the mocks I had the sudden realisation that I hadn’t really learned enough from the read through and by that time it was too late, band 9.
Level 3 I started early and made sure I had a section down before moving on. The free text EOCs are a nightmare and take f*****g ages but stick with them.

It actually depends on the particular reading I would say.
1. Not much use sitting and reading the IPS sections - much better of practising the EOCs multiple times.
2. Other topics like FI & Derivatives& Risk Management - very clear that we need to read it again.
Good luck!
