Finished all the sections and didnt touch Econ. Spent three non stop days doing it. First day was panic. Second day panick with some clean up. And today got it. Even though it’s only 5%, it’s a pretty good section to get marks if you get it down.
Also, people have a tendency to say it’s only 5% about this section and Quant. Combined that’s 10%. And I got both sections down so now I’m in happy mode.
That section has to be read carefully though. Could’ve definitely been explained much better.
 
Technically, they can be, on a combined basis, 20% of the exam… In the event you have both of them down, you should be even happier!
 
Man, I am still panicking about Econ. I need to do a 3 day bootcamp on it. Did you study with Schweser? Same with quant.. lots of moving parts on those subjects.
 
Doob. Bootcamp is what you gotta do.
I never used Schweser for anything and then got stuck on the first chapter of Econ. Maybe it was exhaustion but I think it was more that the material wasn’t laid out well. I used CFA curriculum for everythign but made adjustements here.
For the first chapter of Econ, I used the schweser videos with it. And it really helped. The chapter is a 100 pages of boredom. The video made it pretty easy to navigate through. Dont just watch the video and then goto the chapter. Go along the CFA curriculum with it and do all the blue book questions. The last two chapters of econ are pretty easy and you can do it however you want.
Main thing with the first chapter of econ, is to actually DO the mathematical questions. Dont just look at them and be like “I got it”.
I know econ inside out now. Bootcamp it up.

Thanks man! read Schweser chapter on econ lastnight.. will do Qbank and curriculum questions today. I love the smell of panick! Coffee never tasted this good.
