any info on this co. got an interview

can someone please tell me how is it like working for Northern Trust. these guys are based in Chicago and looks like a pretty decent sized buy side firm. I would appreciate if someone has any idea on how good the organization is, what's their reputation and if there are any chances/rumors of the firm being bought out/merged etc. i have gone thru some sell side reports as they are listed on the nasdaq but havent gained much. any info from people within/outside would help a lot. thanks
 
you gotta be more specific, NT is a relatively large company. what's the job and what are the details?

there's almost no chance of them being bought for now...why do you want to know this, what does it even matter??
 
wegowayback, thanks for the info. cant give out more details on the forum. but if u have any more info on them I would be glad to give you my id.

the reason for the merger/buyout question is I m on work visa and if i lose a job in between, i would have to go back. the chance of this happening is pretty slim at my current smaller firm..

Is this the competition I'm up against trying to find a new job in Chicago?
