Any interest in starting an online petition to have Level II twice a year?
It would be more flexible for most of us!
 
As a charterholder, No. If you get your charter, you will feel the same.
 
I’d like to start a petition to have Energy Girl removed from this forum. How about that?
 
Just pass the first time and its irrelevant.
 
If you’re disciplined and overstudy, you wouldn’t even have to ask this question.
 
How about an online petition to have Level II only once every two years?
The CFAI seems to be minting far more new charterholders than the finance industry is demanding.
 
The cost of developing a test like level 2 must be very high, especially since they’re all item sets. Less money for member events, so I say no.
 
Part of the (artificially inflated) difficulty of the Cfa exam is the fact that it’s only offered once per year. So no, I would not petition.
Not that it much matters, given CFAI’s track record of listening to exam criticism.
 
THe world isn’t going to shift fast enough and there’s not some magical job you are missing out on by waiting another 6 months.
 
Two comments -
1) For those of you who didn’t write this year, the CFAI asked for candidates opinion on offering levels 2 and 3 twice a year in the post-exam survey. So I would say that they’re at least strongly considering it.
2) The fact that you need 4 years experience makes the value of being able to complete the academic portion more quickly significantly reduced for the majority of candidates.
I would be in favour, certainly wouldn’t mind finishing 6 months earlier but it isn’t a huge deal at the end of the day
