Dear All
I used arifs videos for l1/l2 and foudn them very nice.
Has anybody used his L3 videos ? How did you find it ?
Anybody looking forward to buy his videos this year for L3 ?

I passed on the 1st try. I used Arif exclusively complimented by NYSSA classes and finquiz.

i used his free Behav. Fin videos & they were very neatly explained & they stuck to my mind.
I would recommend you to give it a shot on his free videos first and if it connects with you, then go ahead based on topic wise purchases too.
Best of Luck.

i used Arif’s videos for Level 3 and passed on the 1st attempt. I found them very helpful and cut down the study time of the CFA curriculum by a huge margin. Considering that i am doing a full time job, i found it made the difference between passing and failing. I would definately recommend that you use his videos. As Ganesh has said, check out the free videos on Behavioural Finance to make up your mind. I had decided to buy the videos based on the free videos and Arif has definately exceeded expectations.

Digitalrebel,
How elaborate is he in his lectures regarding the AM session? Does he solve a lot of problems ?
One thing I really hate about online lectures ( or any presentation for that matter) is when the presenter is simply reading the slides like some of the professors in Schweser. What makes them IN THE MONEY is being interactive, was that the case with Arif ?
You passed your Level 3, CONGRATS to you, would you mind sharing in addition to Arif lectures what did you use for study notes, QBank, mocks.
Your response will be very much appreciated!

I found Arif lot more interactive than schweser videos. (except David Heatherington!). Good thing about Arif is that he solves lot of problems in class (which also makes his lectures very very long). 25 minutes lectures in Schweser, run to 1.5 hours with Arif. But I found them useful.
But take my points with a pinch of salt, I failed Band 10 :( I suggest you view a sample video mate and Arif generally responds with a video access if you request him one.

I wont Vicky.. There is hardly a change between 2013 and 2014 & hence wont be buying any videos again.. (Unless Peter Olinto comes up with IPS videos from Elan :))

@Rehix - Arif does not read slides like a few online videos i saw on the net. What Arif does is mention the main point on the slide but does a lot of explaining and he explains as it is explained in the curriculum and gives a reasonable big picture context. So when you read the curriculum after seeing the video it helps in recallability and helps you understand the material better.
Initially i had started reading the curriculum myself from Study Session 1 and i would invariably fall asleep trying to read and understand Behavioural finance. I wasted a month trying to finish the material to no avail - that is when i stumbled upon Arif’s free behavioral finance Study Session 1 videos. Once i went through his video i was able to quickly finish the CFA curriculum. So i decided to buy the videos coz it seemed to work for me and it was the same experience with other Study sessions.
I did not use any other material other than Arif’s videos that too only in Level 3. Infact in all three levels i have read only the CFA curriculum and solved past papers and done the mocks.
AM session requires practice of the EOC questions, previous years papers, conceptual understanding of the curriculum and ability to link the dots across the various chapters. Arif’s videos are are good aid to that end.
Hope this helps!

Just a general comment to all you guys that have used Arifs videos. What was study format? I.e. did you read the curriculum and then watch his videos or was it the other way round? Also if you have any questions on Arif’s vvideo, do you guys contact him? Has he responded?
Please let me know

I dont read curriculum before watching the videos. And yes, Ive emailed some clarifications on videos and generally responds back as well.
