Hey everyone,
Just wanted to chime in that feeling burnt out is really natural at this point.
A couple things you already know but I feel are worth reiterating after reading all the posts.
(1) You are not alone, so so many Candidates feel this way
(2) The pain of retaking next year is far worse than the pain of sacrificing your life at this point.
(3) If you’ve put in the hours, you can do SO MUCH good in the next 10 days, or you can throw away everything you’ve worked for already. If you’re on the margin of pass/fail (i.e. have put in the time but don’t feel confident) then this is even more true.
(4) If like MrSmart you are really well prepared but light on taking mocks or AM exams get on it. Now. That’s because..
(5) Not practicing the AM section and getting familiar with its timing and cadence is the cause of a LOT of Candidates failing.. And it’s entirely avoidable and all on you to know how to manage it (here are the
top 15 L3 subjects topics to know for the L3 exam).
(6) Another cause of failing is ignoring the basic linkages between concepts. In L2 you went deeper per subject. In L3, you tie all of it together. Always remember that during the morning portion each grader only sees one problem, meaning you can repeat key concepts when it makes sense.
(7) If it doesn’t show up in the morning, odds go up you’ll see it in the afternoon
(8) Here’s
how to hack GIPS
(9) I bet most of you are taking days off of work. MAKE THEM COUNT. Whether using a cram guide, taking mock exams, re-doing old problems, skimming notes, using notecards the more time you steal the better. Taking time off work is already a break from routine, use that feeling of “different” to get focused.
Anyway, a bit of a scattered reaction so sorry for that. I just wanted to reiterate that you can do this and it WILL be worth the pain.
