It’s not just the CFA exams but I’ve always found myself in a sort of funk after working hard and finishing a major milestone.

Same here. Must be some hormones thing.

I’m so happy it’s over that sometimes I open up the emails, all at the same time, and play Notorious B.I.G. - Mo money mo problems music video to relive the experience.
Two words for you OP, stockholm syndrome.

^ I passed L3 in 2013. The latter half of 2013 and the beginning of 2014 was a little strange due to all this free time. After 2.5 years of not owning evenings and weekends, it was a little disquieting.
I heard the same sentiment from an ex-drinker - some rock-and-roll star interviewed by Jon Stewart, IIRC. He said his biggest problem was what to do with all that free time.
Also, people who live longer in retirement are those who keep busy. It is a sea change to go from a 9-to-5 job to a zero hours work-week.
They say the more intelligent you are, the more you miss any routine. That must be it.

I dont feel sad at all. The only feeling I have is relieved (and not happy after failing L3 band 10 in 2013 and passing in 2014).
I think the key is to get busy with something productive. I quit smoking last month (had restarted this after a band 10 in 2013, thankfully I wont use CFA as the excuse if I ever start smoking again) and go for long runs all alone. Absolutely loving it.

I remember i had to take a very difficult test one day, but thankfully i passed….

and then next week i had to take CFA Level 3… it was ok i guess
