Just wanted to see how everyone is doing ? Anyone started with Mocks ?

Next saturday (4/4/15) i’ll sit for my first one.
*gulp

I’m finishing the material a second time, and going through CFAI EOC questions, then reviewing trouble spots, then starting mocks. My target is April 25th for the first one, exactly 6 weeks before the exam.

Starting on 6th April. I really dont think i’m ready for it….

Great going guys .Wish you all the very best . I will be starting form 4/15 Hopefully…

Dang..my target date for the first mock isn’t untl May 2nd. Spending all of April doing EOCs and going through the material a 2nd time.

I’m on the same timeline as Galli. It’s gonna suck but adjusting to these essay questions is going to be big, so I’m trying to start early whether I’m ready or not.
I’m curious as to the quality of the mock exams. I’ve read on this board that the Schweser mocks aren’t great at Level III – can anyone provide any detail on this? Obviously the AM CFAI sessions available are great, but given they don’t publish the PM session I’m likely to start of with Schweser. Any insight would be appreciated!

I’m starting mocks this saturday… The review I’ve done since i’ve finished the readings and now hasn’t done much in the way of helping me understand and retain the material. Time to get kicked in the nuts with a dose of reality via a mock exam. Hopefully 8-10 mocks with extensive review in between each of them over the next 10 weeks will help… starting to feel the pressure, for sure.

if i took a mock this wknd i think it would lead me to drink heavily……
the irony is that can be both a positive and a negative….
in all seriousness ill probably shoot for late april. on my 2nd pass through the material hammering all the BBs and EOCs along with it.
the pressure has arrived that’s for sure…….

when i login to CFAI and go to the mock exams, they have item set questions under the mock exam. In fact, they have item set questions for the morning session and the afternoon session… not sure why they have two sets of item set questions though.

I didn’t want to start mocks this weekend. I just don’t feel that I’ve gained much ground in review over the last 3 weeks since I finished the readings. I’ve got a total of 14 mock exams (Schweser & CFAI) to work through… hopefully 10 of them will be sufficient.

My mistake on not clarifying. I was referencing the actual CFA AM session exams from past years found here; https://sites.google.com/site/cfalevel3examprep/extras/practice-exams

Feeling the same as you. Done a ton of practice problems, reading, flash cards etc and it hasn’t really made me feel more confident about retaining the material.
Getting pretty nervous though. That day counter at the top of this website is freaking me out.

Absolutely !!!! Why do people say L3 is easier compared to L2 …
everytime I read the material I realise how little I have retained…

April 12 is my target. However, I have gone through past exam questions as i went along.

L3 is going to be rough. I feel like I haven’t learned anything new after the personal and instutional IPS readings.
There’s going to be lots to memorize with no chance of guessing in the AM.

L3 is harder than L2, as it should be.

I feel pretty bad about L3 even with all the extra studying. I just cant seem to get things to stick in my mind, despite all the notes I’ve made etc…
This is my 2nd time around as i failed band 5 last year!!!1
