With all of this 40-60-80 talk (that scale to me is garbage because the range is just too big in each area), who wants to stand by what they honestly think they got? I'll even put the # of q's I think I'll get down for the fun of it. In 6 weeks, I can see if I'm in denial about my wrong answers or if I'm a better guesser than I thought on some. This is where I would guess I'd be:

Q# Topic Max Pts <=50% 51%-70% >70%
- Alternative Assets 12 - - * 10
- Derivatives 12 - - * 10
- Economics 24 - * - 15
- Equity Analysis 24 - - * 17
- Ethical & Professional Stnds. 36 - * - 24
- Financial Statement Analysis 68 - - * 48
- Fixed Income Analysis 24 - - * 17
- General Portfolio Management 12 - - * 11
- Quantitative Analysis 28 - * - 19

I say 171 points for me, a 71% on the test, I pass. (I HOPE I'M RIGHT AND NOT LYING TO MYSELF) I could be lying to myself, but if I am, lying feels good. come on no whammies, no whammies, PASS!

who wants to get really OCD and count up the # of ethics q's we've talked about out of the 36 to see how many i can say i know i got wrong vs q's i can't even remember what they were. i bet we've talked about maybe 20-25 of the 36 q's already, wouldn't you think? this would be taking "i can't wait the 6 week wait" to an extreme level, but we seriously have probably recreated half if not more of the q's (but we didn't post exact questions, good for us) in the last few days over AF. at this pace, i should know my exact score by next week.

fair enough. oh, to answer your q from before- i play soccer in revere (indoor) and live in cambridge. work for the same company that half the boston posters on AF work for... starts with a FI, might end with ELITY... you can figure out that middle letter.

i only got these numbers from rubbing a magic 8 ball.
"magic 8 ball, do you think i passed ethics?"
REPLY HAZY, TRY AGAIN
"magic 8 ball, do you think i passed ethics?"
MY SOURCES SAY NO

LOL. So it means we are neighbours (Work location wise). Do you work near South Station, right?

I work for the "street" which says "state". The tall building you can see from south station.

Can you ask your magic balls about my result?

i'm going to spain in 2 weeks for almost 2 weeks... can't wait. and yes, i need it bigtime. i'm obsessing over this test in weird ways that i never thought possible.

I had thought that I will catch up on my non-CFA reading. All that I am reading is this Forum.

I am going to Montreal next month.

Thanks to your magic balls. Atleast gave me an optimistic feedback.

Yep we're sad people. The good news is that - to my opinion - all these freaks will move to the Level II forum in six weeks and I expect a silent period late 2007; slowly building up to June 2008 where we will all drive ourselves mad again.

I'm pretty sure we'll be replaced by new freaks, though ;-)

Sure SIMS...I am up for this.

What about NOLA and Bannisja? Jamie you up for this?

for a trip up to montreal? i think that's what he was saying. if he ever comes to boston, i'd be game for drinks. doesn't take much twisting of this arm...

My bad...Boss was around me..so just typed anything.

How about you jamie? Should we go sometime to Cactus Club?

i'm always up for nachos and margaritas. i actually used to work the same place you do... in that same building even.
