Are Morning Essay Questions Self-Contained?

I just came across a question on an older morning exam where the guideline answer referenced information provided in a prior question. I had the impression that each question in the morning was self-contained, and was to be answered using only the content accompanying each respective question. Was this an anomaly, or should I be wary of information being carried across multiple questions?

if you look at the top of the Q1 it says clearly –
Questions 1 and 2 relate to Jack and Ruth Ingram.
and yes, that is bloody normal!!!!

Thanks cpk123. Taking the 2006 exam yesterday apparently attrophied my brain.
A Google seach worked for me CFA 2015.
