Are the Schweser notes enough to pass Level 1?

When you guys buy these study guides, it’s assumed that you guys only study from Scheweser or whatever else guide right? There is no way that anyone would have enough time to read Schweser plus CFA books. I’m guessing you would just read Schweser and read specific parts of the CFA. Is this strategy enough? Obviously this includes taking lots of practice tests and supplemental notes.

Yes it is enough. If you get the chance after your done read ethics from the CFAI books to keep it fresh

It MAY be enough but Schweser doesn’t cover everything. If Schweser was so great why wouldn’t they post the number of people who pass using their material? If you want, use Schweser and then use CFAI books to fill in the blanks. But make sure your do at least the end of chapter readings from CFAI, if possible twice.

Schweser definately covers enough to pass without any problems, provided you have some basic knowledge from university introduction finance & accounting courses. Didn’t open the CFAI books for any of the readings or end of chapter questions. I just went through the notes once, did about 3000 Qbank questions, and 1 schweser practice exam to pass level 1.

That’s right. I heard from my seniors that schweser is not active in updating their notes which was the reason why i went for elan during my time. Their each offering was amazing in quality wise and worth the money!
Still any provider you go with, going through the end of chapter summarys, examples and EOCs of curriculum is a MUST. Give it your best shot!

They may not be able to post the number of people passing because it could possibly be a violation of CFA rules. Just my guess.

agree with poster ‘Valuesrats’ as this is the same reason 7 City gave me.

Im sure they would be enough if you understand everything in them, but I highly recommend doing the CFAI book problems and mocks as well. Youll get those anyways from signing up so you might as well use them!

Yes. I used Schweser exclusively and passed on the first attempt. Plus mock exams from CFAI as well

Do thousands of Qbank questions and you’ll be fine.
