Are there any Toronto CFA study groups?

Hi everybody,

I'm from Waterloo, ON and looking for some study groups within the GTA/Grand-River/Hamilton areas.

I'm not from Toronto but curious about the area. Are there a lot of opportunities there for CFAs, ACCAs?
 
There is a fair amount of opportunity, however there is some fierce competition. A lot of positions require at least a couple of years of experience within Finance/Investments. It's difficult to obtain a position without much experience, even if you have the education.
 
im in the toronto area. i wouldnt mind joining or forming a study group here. for june 2007.
 
Guys, I actually live in the U.S. but plan to move to Toronto in 2008 after I get the Charter. That's why I was asking. My wife is totally hell bent on moving to Canada in the near future. The pressure is getting to me. Its canada or burst!
 
I am studying for level I in Toronto. I work full-time but study during evenings and weekends in the U Of T Library....I am taking the exam in december.....If any one wants to come study with me, just email me on [email protected]
Obviously, the more you guys come down there, we can form a study group with much ease instead of just asking each other on this forum.

I study in the gerstein library at u of t.....nearest subway is queens park (college and university).

Yes I am studyin for cfa and am lettin ppl know if they wana study with me....this way we can make a group slowly slowly......plus i study in u f t downtown.....where all thw other cfa candididates are studyin

hey all!

I will also begin studies for the level 1 07 june exam. I am currently studying at York University and am involved with a Finance association here at York our website adress is www.afayork.com . We will soon have a message board up and running on the website in a couple of weeks time I will be organizing a study group on those message boards, visit if interested.
