Are we charterholders yet?

1) Level 3 passed
2) Membership dues paid
3) Work experience completed
Am I a Righteous Hacksaw CFA now? Or do I have to wait for them to wait for them to knight me in a special ceremony?
 
Wait until next month when they send us a welcoming email. It will be in second week of September.

This is correct. It’s amazing how this is even a question. CFAI should be more transparent about the process.
 
It is actually a little before the email comes. Probably around the end of the first week of Sepetember check your login on the CFA website. Right now it just has your name. Soon it will have Your Name, CFA listed on the website after you log in. That is your celebration date. Mine was September 5, 2012.
 
No, I was same boat as you last year.
I satisfied ALL the requirements, but you cannot use “CFA” until you see 1 of these
1) you get the official email saying you can now use it
2) The CFAI website says: RHacksaw, CFA when you login
 
No, there is definitely a knighting ceremony. Angels dance in the heavens or something like that afterwards.
 
I was thinking it would be like that secret society in “Eyes Wide Shut.”

So you might want to change your level from CFA Charterholder back to CFA Passed Level III
 
^ Im a CAIA charterholder. I have no idea how to make one say (CFA passed level 3, caia charterholder).
 
Still waiting for society approval….hope I get it before September 1. I can’t miss that roll call of achievers for 2013
 
Does this process happen only once a year? If I will have 4 years of experience after, say ,december, do I have any options to finish the process and become a charter holder early next year?

Right. gotcha. Unfortunately we have another wait until we can use “the mark”.
 
as you satisfy the 48 months, you can submit your stuff and get your CFA charter earlier, There’s no “annual cycle of graduation”
 
Yes you can. I did. My work experience has been approved since the first time I did level 3.
 
I got the activate membership email today. Paid $575 in various dues. Now give me my 3 letters so I can order by new business cards!
 
I paid my dues as well. Customer support say that email will be sent out in September which would give us permission to use 3 letters.
