Anyone can describe how the felt when then wrote the test? Confident, and then failed?..

Hashtag, that’s the 2nd Eh stab for a Canadian. I suggest to mix up your Canadian sterotype jokes by adding poutine (fries, sauce and cheese. Fantastic), hockey, beaver or eskimo sterotypes.hashtag wrote:

I have the feeling you’ll nail it this time. To be honest, I’d rather fail band 1 than getting a band 10. Band 10 is the worst failing band of all …Chizi wrote:

Ethics would have passed you and I am sure you did fine this time.Chizi wrote:
2015 BAND FAIL
Well, even though you appear as a knucklehead based on your comments on other threads, let me help you here. I failed BAND 10 last year.
I was confident coming out of the exam…. the confidence faded as days passed; as I forgot what was actually tested.. (many will feel the same the first week of August).
I thought I did well in the AM (results proved otherwise - see below).. I thought PM was hard… basically because I was looking to hit a 48/60.. I ended up estimating a score of 42/60 - and if you look at my results below, the actual score ranged 39-44.
Looking at how others (who passed borderline) performed, I think Ethics failed me completely.. probably ended up with a 2/12.. it was my mistake though, I didn’t study for Ethics last year, I thought it would be a breeze because I had done well in Levels I and II… I PAID for it..
2016 FEELINGS
Ironically, I have the same feelings this year.. AM was good (expecting to score way much better than last year) … PM was harder than 2015’s.. I came prepared to handle Ethics.. to hit the 48/60 mark, but CFAI surprised me by using 1 or 2 subjective question(s) on each item set.. I know I will do much better in Ethics, but I dont think I will maintain the last year scores in other areas… That nets-off back to 38-44.. Assuming the MPS will be as last year’s, I should PASS… But I must say, CFAI has humbled me over time… I did my preps wisely.. to keep a promise to myself - to give CFAI a middle finger - I hope I did it…

I disagree. I failed L2 band 4 the first time. What that told me was that I’d completely failed to prepare adequately. I turned it up and passed the second time. A band 10 fail, to me, would be difficult - where did I really go wrong?Topperharley wrote:
…let’s face facts, it’s better to get Band 10 than anything lower if you plan to take it again.
I see your point, but for me I was just left thinking, ‘wow, I can perform that bad and still get band 10’, so it gave me encouragement for this year. But…to be honest, it gave me so much encouragement that I hardly studied this year. Nevertheless, still feel good about outcome. But, who knows, maybe I did worse this year than last. Don’t think so but never know till results day.qhaydenk wrote:

To get the discussion back on track, here is another pass from last year that makes me feel a little better about my chances…. wrote:
I feel like i should of failed…but i pulled it through somehow…my morning session was a disaster even tho i felt like i did better….somehow afternoon session saved me and i thought i did worse….

Yes, true story! Wish they’d have had the ‘no leaving early’ policy in place last year! I’d have re-checked my answers and possibly passed.TreeFiddy350 wrote:
