Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to some good practice exams to purchase. My plan is to finish all the readings by the end of march, do practice problems for the month of april, and then do mock exams for the month of may. Currently, I have the 3 mocks that come with Schweser notes. I know you can get another 3 from Schweser for $150, I also saw 3 mocks on FinQuiz for $99. I was just curious as to what would be the best purchase. I am interested in other companies as well, these are just two that I am familiar with. Thanks for the help.

What’s the difference between practice problems and mock exams? The duration that you are solving problems?
How well will you be able to cover the readings by the end of March?
Without knowing about your background or progress, I’d guess that your study plan contains too many practice questions (2 solid months before the exam in your plan) and not enough reading (less than 2 months of reading remaining in your plan).

i am wondering which practice exams to purchase too… would like practice tests that have item set questions like the actual exam. any insight would be appreciated! for the moment i am following the text books for studying

Shouldn’t be that hard to find CFAI mock exam/questions from 2000 to 2011. just ask around.
real life research skillz ftw

Clark, I find you comment interesting. What is your plan of attack? I am planning on practice tests starting may 1, with a target of finishing all readings and practice questions by then.
I started Jan 1, and on target. I have begun SS6 today.

Kedgar, my plan is the same as yours. It’s also the same one I used for Level 1, as suggested by some CFA charterholder mentors. i.e., leave one month at the end for strictly practice tests/questions. Spending any longer than that may sacrifice too much time spent on reading. Last year I spent a month on practice questions and was able to do several thousand. It was quite enough.

I had Scheswer qbank for level II Iast time, not work it. looking for an alternative, thinking Finquiz.
the prep for this is much different.

last year as in level 1? or last year you spent several thousands on level 2 and failed?
