I was going through so some seriously troubling family issues so couldnt focus on the CFA. 2 months forward and I still have these Study Sessions to go through which i havent even looked at:
1) Fixed Income PM
2) Equity
3) Alternative Investments
4) Asset Allocation and related decisions
I intend to do Ethics and GIPS in the last month. I am really not sure if I can do this with an 80 hour a week job. Anyone here give me a timeframe I will need to cover these so that I can make the decision if I should continue to study or not?
Thanks

It will be tough, but there is still time. If you look at the exam topic weights per the CFAI website, you have the following:
Fixed Income 10 - 20
Equity 5 - 15
Alts 5 - 15
Asset Allocation (part of portfolio management and wealth planning) 40 - 55
Based on the above, I would concentrate on AA since it is more heavily weighted and will most likely be combined with portfolio management and wealth planning questions. Then move to fixed income followed by alts, with equity last (I am saying equity last since you should have a good base knowledge in equity because it was so important in L2). Good luck!

Buddy,
2 of my colleagues were in the same position as you last yr, one of them only finished reading the week before the exam. They both passed the test… And even though I finished reading 5 weeks before, I still failed!
It can be done!

I would suggest racing through the remaining reading sections that you have open and giving yourself a month to focus on mock exams to identify areas that you need to review in greater detail. The massive size of the CFAI text can be daunting and time consuming. It’s mostly interesting, but for exam purposes it’ll help to review some practice questions and test your time efficiency in responding to questions.
