Greetings,
After the morning session, I put my passport back in my bag. Before the afternoon session, when I took it back out, an old airline ticket got pulled in along with it, without me noticing. Before the exam, when the proctor came to check my passport, he found this ticket in the passport, and took it away.
I am wondering if this honest mistake would be counted a violation against CFA Institute’s testing policies, and whether they would take any action against me for this. I request posters to give me an honest opinion on this, as it is troubling me deeply.
Thanks & Regards

Technically you were in breach of the rules by bringing paper into the exam, but if the ticket was removed before the exams started or were even handed out I think you should be ok. Depends on whether the proctor decides to be a pedant or not.

It’s possible the proctor will report it, but it’s unlikely anything would come out of it.
As long as there was no formula written on it

My coworker received a notice of investigation because she did not remove the paper cover on her eraser. She was later found innocent of misconduct. I have a feeling that the proctors are obligated to report violations, but many reports probably don’t result in punishments.

You’ll probably be okay but if the proctor wants to be a jerk, you could get reported. It’s really important not to make these mistakes….

I am relatively certain that the proctor has reported the incident. There is nothing to hide really, it was just an honest mistake. It seems to be a highly unique one, as there is no mention of the disciplinary actions relating to similar errors on the website (http://www.cfainstitute.org/ethics/conduct/Pages/candidate_sanctions.aspx).
Assuming the proctor has reported it, is there a possibility that the whole incident might get misrepresented and blown out of proportion before it reaches the disciplinary committee? What kind of disciplinary action could they impose? I need to be prepared for the worst.
