Calculator function for population/sample standard deviation?

Hi,
Does anybody know if there is a function on the calc to solve for the population/sample standard deviation. These problems are too time consuming and too easy to make mistakes.
By the way, I’m using a BA 2 Plus, so I would obviously prefer if somebody could give me the proper function (if it exists) for this specific calculator.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do for covariance, which is annoying!

Thanks Rex…but I don’t entirely follow you.
As far as I can remember, I haven’t seen a calculation for population or sample standard deviation involving probabilities. Just a data set in which you need to find the E(v), then subtract each value from that etc…
Any idea for how to do it on that type of problem? or am I just misunderstanding your comment?

the steps above allow you to find standard deviations, means, variances of a data set.
Say for example
Val Prob of val
5 0.10
4 0.10
5 0.10
6 0.7
In essence theyre qutie good for the matrix style questions as it means you dont have to calculate the mean, then subtract mean from each val and square etc.
Not sure if it works on sample pops im sorry.
