Looking over the forum lately it appears that just about everybody thinks they passed (including myself...I think). With the low pass rates this can't be possible, even if there is an upward bias in AF participants.

Perhaps this test was trickier than I thought and I fell into traps that I don't even know about.

It reminds me of the surverys where everybody says they are above average drivers.

Doesn't make me feel real good at this point.

Everybody can't pass can they?

You are echoing my thoughts. I just hope that everybody here did well and passed. People at AF are among the better prepared candidates.

I couldn't see any "tricks" that people talk of. Most of it was straight forward, very much like the sample online exams. I hope I didn't miss out on anything.

i am not that good a driver, but i live in boston- comes with the turf.
as for the test, i hope we all pass... i want to say that i hit a 70% on that test, but sure, maybe i fell for more traps than i thought. just AF today alone for ethics scaled back my confidence a bit. i'm still feeling pretty good about most other areas except econ.

this is classic survivorship bias. you guys studied hard and no wonder you'll pass. what about sampling from the remaining 139,000 people who wrote this as well?!

the only feel good is that econ is only 5-15% of the test on the whole per the CFA website. even though i think i did pretty poorly, i want to say i threw out at least a 60% on econ... match that with what i feel could be closer to 90%'s on my derivatives, alt inv, and PM, and i think i'll be ok. well, i hope.

it's all about FSA and ethics. I just hope i didn't make any dumb mistakes on FSA. that is my biggest fear.

i think i'm right on the border. econ killed me, and the afternoon session in general was not good for the ol' ego. i'm just hoping that the morning pulled up my score enough to throw me over the top.

I also got crushed in econ but then again... who here says he or she rocked econ?

I THINK I did okay. Till now, I have gotten the right answers for everything discussed. But you never know. better wait till july.

Ruhi...will you relax...you and plyon are locks...everybody here knows that.....probably you too. :-)

I hope so...if I fail now, I'll think I am plain retarded.

also keep in mind the people that registered in april and just read schweser once during may and call that "studying" probably dont spend the time to reinforce random topics by coming to the AF.... i bet its pulled down by people that just dont put in the time. pass rates for a msg board like this MUST be higher...

I can't see how we did not pass this thing. We definitely got 80% of the easy questions right. And we agree on 80% of the tricky q posts today. If you didn't miss a bubble... we either all passed or all failed. And we definitely didn't all fail.

That said we should pace ourselves here, Juy 18th is a long way off. I may have to put a blackout on the AF site or I might implode before then.

let's hope the pass rate isn't what it was back in 2005, wasn't it in the low 30's?... I can't say with confidence i passed. like everyone else i sucked on econ and thought the pm test, on a worst case scenario, could have pulled the total score down below 70.. but i think i have a shot. but i wouldn't be completely shocked if i found i didn't pass. just pissed off.

Congratulations to those who will pass.

And congratulations to those who will fail! To do who will fail, please feel free to join me for the L1 in December!

I took the exam unprepared. In fact I stopped studying 2 weeks before thee xam! If I pass it would be a mistake.

same as cfasf1, I feel a have a good shot but if I were not to pass I wouldnt be surprised, it would have meant that all my "intelligent" guessing in the questions I was not sure about did not go my way, simple as that.

Econ was a skank, but the test could've been a LOT worse---imagine TWO AFTERNOON SESSIONS! With the Econ, one thing that made me feel somewhat "ok" is that after going back through the "circled" ones that I wasn't quite sure of, nearly all of them I answer the same without looking at my answers---so if I missed one, it was because of misunderstanding and not consistency.

all those 2 part questions in econ pwned me. that alone is the only reason I might fail, if I get a zero on econ, ha.
