Can I modify my calculator physically is this OK ?

The standard plastic mould on the back of my TEXAS INSTRUMENTS BA II Plus when put on a flat surface makes sounds while in use.
I sanded the mould off and used super glue to attach rubber band strips to the back of the calculator. The sound is gone now and its quite silent.
Is this OK ? The exam proctors will they think bad of this ?

Erasers are allowed, erasers with covers are not
thus you can make from this that,
Calculators are allowed, calculators with modification may not…
be little wise to use an extra handkerchief folded to keep the calculator without noise and avoid slipping if your desk has a steep slope which I experienced in the past…
 
Try it out. And if it the mods call you out on it…

I agree. I wouldn’t do anything to stick out from the crowd, even if CFAI said it was okay. Worst case is, you got a person who may look at hundreds of calcs, notice that yours is different, and says you can’t use it. You want to go get your iphone or email from your car and prove them wrong on exam day?
 
Bring another, unmodified, calculator. If they ban the former, you’re protected with the latter.
 
By the terms of Social Darwinism, OP was not supposed to pass this upcoming exam.
