I'm looking at doing my CFA, although I have limited background in Finance. I did my minor in Business, and now would like to proceed in that regard. Just how difficult is the program compared to a BA, and do I need a sponsorship from my employeer, or can I start it on my own merit (and accomplish the 4yrs experience as I move along)?

Thank you.

It may be prudent to add some more information to this post. Currently I am in a logistics job, and am looking at transferring into the Finance field as I feel it suits my personality very well. I guess my question is; would it be smart to start my CFA and then pursue a new job in the field after completing Level1. Or do you think an employer would "require" work experience in the field.

what kind of job are you lookin for ..finance is very broad term ....
