can't get motivated

i think i over studied over the past memorial weekend. been uproductive at work and now i have no motivation to study either. i am just not feeling it.
sigh.
 
my motivation is that I want to be studying for LIII next year and not LII again. Ok, time to quit reading AF and get back to Derivatives.
 
don’t beat yourself up. you really deserve a break. treat yourself well.
for about 2 seconds and then get your @$$ back in the books. c’mon.

I find just doing some qbank helps. Kinda get lost by thinking about questions/answers versus thinking about other things.
 
If I’m slipping I think about logging into the CFA website on some day in August and seeing “FAIL”.
That generally sobers my ass up and gets me back to the books.
 
i am THIS close to pouring myself a glass of red wine…:)
i guess i have been scoring decently and i just feel that if i let myself take a break for a couple of hours really isn’t going to make or break the deal considering how unproductive i’ll be.
but tomorrow i will be re-charged and motivated again hopefully…

Let’s be honest, we’re all facking angry! We all hate this sh1t since we need to know it cold enough to fill in 120 bubbles.
I want to throw the books out the window/off a bridge/in the lake 100 times a day. But I’m so close and know I still have time to give it a shot. I don’t feel confident at all, but I’m at least going to try and step up to the plate to pass this MF!

I’ll help you out with some planning stories (probably won’t help on the exam though).
 
Exactly. By this point EVERYONE is sick of this. But what we do between now and exam day is what separates the passes from the fails… now is not the time to let up. I just keep telling myself, only one more weekend of this and we are done! If you’ve made it this far you can make it 10 more days… take the rest of the night off if you really need it but back to it tomorrow!

i think its more important not to get burned out right before the 1 week stretch where all you do is stay home and do nothing but study. but i have the luxury of taking a week off before the exam.
ok ok i think i am just trying to make myself feel less guilty now :P
 
kellyc - - I have slowly progressed to liquid, heavy, and death metal … it motivates me but I am probably not the norm
 
i say take the next 9 days off, but remember to stay for the afternoon session

the motivation to study for this test so intensely for such a long period of time really comes from fear…my problem is this time around i really have no fear. i am not as nervous as i was the last time around. i am eerily calm …
well i know what needs to be done from tomorrow until june 6th and it will get done. but for now…time for some wine :)
 
I don’t think having a glass of wine/scotch at this point will do any harm, I’ve been having 1-2 drinks a night to take the edge off. After studying for 15+ hrs a day, I think I’d deserve a drink haha.
 
Planner i did see your post. I dont have any quant stories unfortunately. I need all the help i can get right now.
 
god d8mn the cork is screwed shut on my wine bottle…i can’t get it out…NOOOOO! yes i am on the west coast. fck just my luck.
 
get a knife and jam it down into the bottle … you will have a cork floating around in the bottle but it works
