Its been almost a year and a half since I graduated (undergrad) and I want to start focusing on what I can see myself doing for the future. I have about 3 years experience as an analyst with major brokerage houses in NYC, and I'm waiting for my level 1 scores to come through.

Ideally, I would really like to get my foot into iBanking, trading, or portfolio management. I'm ready and willing to take my series 7 and 63 but with the position I have right now as an analyst, I don't think its really required for me to take the exam and I don't think my manager will approve.

Eventually, I would like to go to business school but I want to finish up my CFA first before doing that.

Any advice as to how to get out of operations and get into the buy side?

Series 7/63 is required for both ibanking and trading.

i work on the trading floor and have neither

only need them if you deal w/ customers
