CFA Designation

When can you start using CFA designation after your name? If I pay my membership due ($275 now), can I use it from tomorrow?
 
You need to wait until you get an email/letter from CFAI saying you can begin using it…. I think it was a good month after I passed (I had previously had all work experience, etc. approved).
Another way to check is to log in to CFAI site under your username and wait until they update your name to “First Last, CFA”.
 
How do you pay the $275? Is there a link on the website? My experience is approaved but local society still has 15 days remaining
 
As AssBackwardation said you need to wait on the letter saying you can use it.
 
I’m already a member but am going to wait until I get the go-ahead. No reason to p*ss off CFAI after all this work and time.
 
Yes, my experience is already approved. Will to have to wait then for their email.
