Hi Everyone,
I am a Video Engineering Archtiect/ Manager at a senior position and would like to shift my career towards consulting and researching companies for financial instittions or funds. Maybe a crazy idea but I think I my vast understanding oof this field and my love for numbers and business sense is leading me to believe that I will enjoy that role of assessment and strength of a technology company.
I would like to know if the CFA is the right path for me or should I look at an MBA?
Does anyone here know any positions where a CFA with heavy technology/techinical background is hired in? What sort of salary levels are paid in such positions. If someone can suggest job titles related to this so I can search on glassdoor.
Thanks for your help.

Are you serious? IMO you have close to 0.1% chance of doing this.
Try ‘equity research analyst’

There are many engineers/physicists/mathematicians (yours truly amongst them) who have earned their CFA charter.

With no finance experience.chances are slim to none.don’t bother the trouble
