Has anybody (members or candidates) paid the money to join CFAI's jobline? Is it worth $47 USD for 3 months? I remember back in the day they used to have postings on aimr.org that anybody could look at.

Any insight into this service is appreciated.

Thanks

It's not worth it unless you are looking for an intermediate career position. I looked about six months ago and most of the positions required MBA and/or CFA completion. If you're looking for an entry-level gig to break into finance, you might be disappointed. This probably varies from city to city, with the large cities offering the most opportunities, but I doubt the number of entry-level jobs would improve dramatically, even for a large, finance based city.

Thanks for the info so far.

I live in LA and am looking for pre-mba jobs here although I would venture to NYC.

I passed level 2 and have 2 years of finance work experience - '04 grad.

Looking at stuff at your level.

66 Total jobs listed for the state. There was only one posted within the last 3 weeks that might fit your profile, located in Newport beach (look up Green Street Advisors).

87 Posted in NY. A few that fit your profile. Lots of Fitch postings you could also find on careerbuilder, Sanford Bernstein looking for junior research associates but no details on their requirments (maybe check their website), also check BlackRock.

And that's my good deed for today. Anyone else wanting me to check listings must be female, cute, and willing to provide sexual services (in advance).

Super I
ummm....hahahaha....sexual service in advance.
thought that might violate ethics?

now that motivates me even more on getting the charter!

As long as there is full disclosure of all compensation arrangements I'm pretty sure I'm in compliance.

Super I, thanks for checking it out.

It seems like there's not much value for me to subscribe at this time.
