CFA level 1 Econ relevance to CFA level 2

I’m trying to bust my way through the CFAI material at the moment and am looking at doing the ECON section.
Unfortuantely I was very pressed for time at CFA Lvl 1 and I only covered ECON pretty lightly - especially Macro Econ. Is it possible to get through the Level 2 material without knowing Level 1 material back to front.
Jsut trying to get a feel for the CBA off going back through the material.

Not much overlap between Level I and Level II Econ. Currency exchange rates is about it.
