I have signed up for CFA Level One exam in December. I have bought the 4 big books from the CFA Institute. However, I don't think I am going to have time to study enough because I will be very busy finishing up my last semester for my MBA in December. I ended up not being able to get the class I needed over the summer, so I have to take it in the fall. Thus, my work and study load will be too high. Thus, I have resolved to take it next June.
My question is: Would it be a really bad idea to keep these 2006 books to use them for the June 2007 exam? I can't imagine the books change that much from year to year. I was considering selling these book (at a discount) online for anybody planning on taking it in Dec. '06, and then buying the new 2007 books once they are available.
If anybody has experience using the previous year's version of books for taking a test, can you tell me if it was a good or bad idea?
