need to clarify a quick question. in 06 i decided to go for cfa lvl 1 but for some reasons focus changed.

now, i have decided to appear in 09. questions is tht i still have my books from 06 and my plan is to study from them, i know tht when i'll register i'll get the new books and the cirriculum and the material changes every-year.

how different or how much the material would have changed in 3 years atleast for lvl I.

I would think that some things have changed a fair bit like alternative investments, but some things would have not changed that much such as economics. Have you compared the Learning outcome statements from 2006 to 2009? That might be the best way to tell.

The international accounting standards is a newer topic so you may want to focus on that
