CFA Mock 2019 1, Exam PM: Questions 32 and 34

Hi, should the questions 32 and 34 in the 2019 Level II Mock 1, PM, not produce the same results? The more extended calculations ins question 34 seem to be just what the H-Model calculates, but in a simpler way. :-/
