CFA Password Reset Not Working

Anyone else having fun with this issue? Trying to reset my password and it’s not working!!
 
If you have IE and Firefox (say) or some other browser, try to enter your new password from a browser other than the one you request the password change. It worked for me this way.
 
I was having some trouble, then realized I was trying to login to the “member login” instead of “candidate login”
 
If you can’t log in it means the CFAI thought your score was so bad it kicked you out of the program. That happened to a couple of my friends a couple years ago.
 
His jokes sound more like they were created by Microsoft Joke 2007 SE
 
Martin - you are correct… there are different log in’s for candidates and members.
 
I think you need to call the CFA Institute to confirm password reset to make it work. It happened to me once and I had to call them to fix it.
Their number is 434-951-5499.

I just changed it. While with Firefox access is denied, with IE works perfectly well.
 
i had problems like 20 times in last 3 months…you just have to log in and if it asks you again, either click to hom or try to log in as a candidate – it is confusing and they should fix the home screen – the home page is a bit confusing
 
Once you request for new password, CLOSE all the IE tabs, restart IE and log in. Do not forget to logout otherwise one might have to get a new password.

I believe the site is just slow. After resetting, it appears to take a few minutes to replicate to the login verifier. If you reset once, wait 5 minutes, try again. If it still doesn’t work, wait 10 and try again. If you still can’t get in, I would call rather than resetting again because that would start the whole slow process over again…
