Found this interestring. Bloomberg reported >170k people plan to sit for the exam this weekend, up from 160k who registed for June ‘15. Also about 30k who sign up won’t sit.
Plenty of goof-offs sign up every year thinking that they’ll just “take a stab” at the exam. Then the exam slaps the bejeezus out of non-serious candidates, and they unceremoniously exit the candidate pool. The line of demarcation between the wheat and the chaff remains preserved…so it has always been, and so it will always be.
