So i’ve never been this ahead in studying…. Level II felt like i was in a rush, since i didnt find out i passed level I until the end of January.
I’ve finished reading all of the schweser books. I’m taking the weekly schweser class, so thats a good review of topics.
I usually like to do the CFAI EOC questions a few weeks before the exam.. should i do those now? I’m also hearing alot of things about the blue boxes? Did not read these in the past.
Also planning on watching the schweser videos online. Have alot of practice exams, but dont plan on starting those untill closer to the exam.
What are the major topics i should be focused on other than IPS’ for individuals and institutions?
Thanks!

1. Doing CFA EOC multiple times definitely helps in ironing out repeated mistakes which you make.
2. If I were you, I would start doing the IPS questions multiple times - create a template which I like and then can reuse it.
3. Blue boxes in L3 are so crucial, would advice you do them couple of times along with EOC. I can only say blue boxes are very important, cannot unfortunately disclose on why I felt its more important for L3.
4. Practise exams dont have to be done closer to the exam. Agree you dont have to do it right now may be, but starting them in April is definitely not an overkill.
5. Capital Market Expectations, Fixed Income strategies, Ethics, Risk Management Techniques - all these are quite important. Prepare as well for the PM exam even though you know the exam. The push from the PM exam can take you through.
Not to damage your spirits, is there an overconfidence bias in your preparation? Good luck!

This is extremely helpful.
When i was doing to EOC questions for Individual IPS… i was looking at the answers and wondering where the hell they got that info from. THen i reread the top of the question and it said that parts of it are found in the reading… that was terrible.
Yes - overconfidence and its making me even more scared.

Don’t sweat it…stick to your Schweser and you should be all set.

What are your thoughts about the schweser class? I havent kept up with it and was debating on it last night. 3 hours every tuesday seems like alot of time, especially if there isnt much value being added. Is it worth it?

i did it for level 2 also. I think it was just a good way to keep me on track, and i feel like schweser def has some “inside” information that is helpful. But my company also pays for all of it. not sure if i would with my own money.
