Dear Guys,
I have few queries regarding grading of the exam as i faced few problems during the exam and was in doubt state. So the best solution was to email institute and they were kind enough to reply me .
I posted these 2 questions.
Question 1:
CFA recommended to use pencil or erasable pen for morning exam but i opted for pencil to solve my exam. Erasable pen has issue in high temperature countries like Pakistan and at the same time its not available here in Pakistan.
However the issue is that i was solving my paper with pencil and about 80% exam i solved with pencil. At that time and with half and hour left, i was not able to continue with pencil as leds were broken and i couldnt sharp them properly and it wasted my 5 minutes.
At that time i decided to solve rest of the paper with pen with some sub questions already left also solved with pen ( Few questions were solved with pen and pencil both). I just want to inquire that is there any issue and will institute mark paper solved with pen.
Question 2:
In one of the question, where we have to choose one of the options, i solved with pen and then i changed my answer later but later on i realized that initial option i choose was correct one but there was no way that i was able to circle it because i already scratch it initially with pen ( Not able to remove it) so i just put an arrow towards right choice and write in the paper that following is the right choice.
Will i be graded marks for it.
Answer:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. While we prefer to have essay answers written in erasable ink or pencil, our graders will score any answers you’ve completed in non-erasable ink. You will not be penalized for striking through answers you do not wish to be graded.
Our graders will make their best attempt to grade your exam. If you were not able to clearly state which answer was the correct one (the one you intended to have as a solution) then we will not award points for that answer.
SO i thought of sharing it with you. Also if you guys have any query, then write email to them rather than taking opinions over here.
Regards
