CFA study group in Los Angeles area?

Are there any other locations that you guys can meet at? Where are you all you guys located? And what days would be the best for everyone?

I think meeting once a week is fine. Materials used can be whatever study materials you have. I am using schweser study notes.

For study suggestions, I think we should bring questions and notes on subject matter that we are not strong at so that we can practice it in the group.

we all are from different locations.... First time we are meeting at C&C Internet Cafe. Once we meet, we will decide..best location and meeting time... how is it sound to you.

the time may not work for me next monday,but i'd call to find out if anybody's still around when i get out after 8pm.it'd be nice to meet up and decide for other meetings.

maybe we should have a question session and study session.for the next two weeks,i'd focus on catching up as much as possible,but like to sit in and see how it goes with everybody else.

Hope I'm not too late to get in the group.
living in west covina, using schweser notes, now working on session 2, I plan to browse through all 6 six notes before oct. and do more practise after that.

I got the notes last week. I think though the study wont be very difficult for most of us, it's one of the critical steps to our future career. I think it is a very good idea to study together, make our future together. more material, more thoughts, more fun!!!

very happy to see so many discussions about the meeting. a sense of teamwork!no matter what location or time is perpect, let's try it first , improve it gradully. some idea, before each meeting, we can collect questions from each member and then focus on those questions.

Like PAISA and NITIN was saying, I believe we won't do much studying in the 1st meeting. Instead, it would be a great idea to plan out how / when / where to study! With that said, I think we should get as much people in the 1st meeting as possible.

That way, we can:
~Get acquainted with one another
~Discuss each of our challenges (scheules/studying habits...etc.)
~Come up with a plan to help each other PASS this test!

Just make sure that it's not just 1 or 2 thats gonna show up =)
p.s. I'll meet at 8pm Monday if that's what it takes to get everyone out. GO LA!!!

sorry guys,i can't make it today.wonder if u've met up and gone over LOS this time.my schedule was messed up last week.school just started and got one job interview....now i am studying!

we've been talkin' 'bout going over LOS.now i spent most time reading notes and try to get back to my routine.once i am more confident and put that under control,i may feel more comfortable spending blocks of time discussing questions.but i'd try to sit in maybe for an hour or two this comin' wk if we plan to meet wednesday nite.

let's post a msg every time before we meet.i volunteeer to do next wed or one more if i can make it.

also,other memebers,come by and tell us more 'bout ur thoughts.we can come up w/ a couple of places to meet based on everyone's loc,schedule,etc.let's take turns~~
