Hello EnergyAnalyst,
I am studying toward level 1 december 2012 and I am in a similar position. Not an expert then… but I think your plan is fine. Maybe try to start earlier with the Mock Exams and do the review and mock exams in parallel in October and November. I am just worried if you will be able to cover all the readings+EOC+QBank by the end of September… Qbank questions are long to cover properly.
On my side I have 45 days off until the end of August. Lucky me… I am changing job. So I plan to go cover everything by 20/8. I am studying Schweser Video+Notes+EOC (Schweser & CFAi). I will leave the Qbank and MockExams for the 2 review sessions that I plan to do between end of August and end of November. I will review the theory on Schweser Secret Sauce, but mostly I will practice using Qbank questions in order to review specific topics.
I am considering writing notes, but I am afraid it will take ages… at the same time I understand everything but I have some difficulties in remembering…
Are you making your own notes?
Good luck!

Hey OP,
Your study plan is definitely rock solid, but is it realistic? When I was going at this pace I hit a stretch where I felt quite burned out and had to take about a week and a half off. Overall it looks great but make sure you can hold yourself to it and maybe have 1 weeknight and 1 weekend night at least where you do something to let loose so you don’t get burned out.

I think the plan sounds ridiculous. Do you go to the gym? Have a girlfriend? Friends? It sounds punishing but to each his own…I just went to a hedge fund function and a prominent hedge fund manager expressed to me that he is more apt to hire foreigners because he does not have to worry about them going out on Thursday night and the threat of them not showing up to work on Friday. If you can stick to that schedule I wish you the best.

The plan is fine, you should make notes. I would also not leave all of the Qbank questions for last if there is a question you find useful, you should print it and review the answer - it will be hard to do all of that in November. That being said, don’t rely heavily on the Qbank, the endo of chapter questions come first.

i would like somenone to talk by email let’s say once a week keep track of our progress motivate each other and try to explain each other things we haven’t understood very well. Anyone interested? [email protected]
