CFA Work Experience - Proof

When we submit out CFA Regular Member application together with References and Work Experience, are we required to offer up proof of Work Experience or is this left up to our referees to confirm that what we have entered is correct/true?
Ie. Will I need to dig around and find my internship employment contracts?

They will rely on your references as proof.
Fyi: I’m not sure, but i don’t think that an internship will qualify towards your work experience
