Has anybody use it? Is it good? Does it have a lot of offers? Is it good for candidates or better just for charterholders?
Passed L1 (yea i’m a baller) and may want to change jobs in the near future. Thinking of buying a 6M subscription to check it out.

Use the search function.
Yeah, it’s good, not sure about right now though given the economy. It’s definitely worth the money in a better environment (I got my current job off the site). Mostly it’s for people who have some experience and passed all three exams, but you might get lucky with just having passed L1.

lots of cross-posts from eFinancialcareers.com i think

Makes sense. Why would any employer advertise only on the CFA site and nowhere else?

My local CFA site posts pretty much all of the same positions as the CFAI site, and it’s free. Might want to check that out.

Just thought it could work a little differently. A good CFA Jobline could work out like:
1) You, a CFA candidate or charterholder, know the value of the CFA better than anyone
2) You or your company wants to fill a position so you look at your peers and post in the jobline first and foremost
3) The candidate pays to access the jobline cos the job offers there are going to be more oriented to him
(I’ll wake up from my dream in a sec)

If you are a CFA Institute member (don’t need to have passed the exams yet), you get the JobLine for free, plus some other stuff (webinars, etc.). It might be worth it when you lump it all together. And it is tax deductible as job search expense.
In normal times, I thought the CFA jobline was good. These days the market is really hard up.
It is true that a lot of JobLine ads just run you to eFinancialCareers. However, there is some value in that JobLine jobs are a subset of eFinancial that is more relevant to people with or pursuing the charter.

How much is the fee to get the jobline membership?

Some employers do this. If you think about it, it would narrow the candidate focus down to only people who have the charter or are working towards it. There will be a much broader candidate pool on efinancialcareers, etc.
