Changing from Corp Finance to Finacial Services

I made a similar change from a strategy/finance role at a F500 into banking. The problem for you is that you may be "branded" with 6 years of experience as a corp fin guy. Just keep trying. CFA should help. Emphasize your willingness to work more than the 40 hrs/week you've been doing for the past 6 years. Try looking at smaller boutiques and smaller firms.
